CenterPoint shippers are no longer under an Operational Alert that began last Tuesday due to unscheduled maintenance in the Perryville Hub area, the pipeline said Friday. The work previously had been expected to last until Saturday (see Daily GPI, Dec. 16).

FERC Tuesday issued a certificate for CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission Co.’s (CEGT) proposal to build a pipeline and additional compression to serve a power plant in Arkansas and other shippers.

A CenterPoint Energy Inc. interstate natural gas pipeline subsidiary has agreed to a five-year extension of its firm transportation and storage contracts with Laclede Gas Co., its largest customer. Financial details were not disclosed. The contracts with Mississippi River Transmission Corp. provide Laclede with nearly 665,000 Dth/d of transportation capacity and 23.5 Bcf of storage to serve the St. Louis market. Laclede is the largest gas distribution utility in Missouri, serving more than 630,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in St. Louis and surrounding counties of eastern Missouri.

FERC last Monday issued CenterPoint Energy Gas Transmission (CEGT) a certificate to build a 172-mile pipeline from the Carthage Hub in Texas to the Perryville Hub in Louisiana, providing a market outlet for the burgeoning natural gas production in North-Central and East Texas and North Louisiana.
