Rockies Express said it was lifting Monday the force majeure that it had issued Sunday at its booster facility located at the Wamsutter Echo Springs interconnect in Sweetwater County, WY.

Rockies Express (REX) said it has postponed until March previously scheduled Feb. 24-25 maintenance at its Lost Creek booster station, which will affect nominations at the Lost Creek Sweetwater location. REX will post the new dates for this outage in its March maintenance schedule.

It’s Still Very Cold, But Most Points Fall Again

The market demonstrated once again Thursday that widespread severe cold is not necessarily a gas price booster. Prices dropped at nearly all points as two prior days of major futures weakness took their toll on the cash market. Increased use of storage was still believed to be supplanting potential new purchases of spot gas, and while frigid weather will last into the weekend in northern market areas, it would be less cold than before in many sections.

Tuscarora Gas Transmission has filed an application with FERC to add a new 8,000 hp compressor station on its mainline near milepost 81.6 in Modoc County, CA, and a 3,600 hp booster compressor at its existing Wadsworth station in Washoe County, NV. The new compression will cost $16.5 million and will boost its firm transportation capacity by 51,753 Dth/d. Tuscarora requested Commission approval by Nov. 18 so that the facilities can be put into service before the 2005-2006 heating season. Reno-based Tuscarora operates a pipeline system extending in a southeasterly direction from a point of interconnection with the facilities of Gas Transmission Northwest Corp. near Malin, OR, to a terminus near Wadsworth, NV, where Tuscarora interconnects with Paiute Pipeline Co.
