Houston-based Black Bear Transmission LLC has acquired Ozark Gas Transmission LLC (OGT) and Ozark Gas Gathering LLC (OGG) from a subsidiary of Enbridge Inc.

A three-year reprieve has been granted from a provincial deadline at the end of this year for a delayed Australian plan to build a natural gas export terminal on the Canadian east coast in Nova Scotia.

Black Bear Midstream, a portfolio company of funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management LP, has secured a seven-year natural gas gathering and processing agreement in Louisiana’s Desoto and Caddo parishes with an undisclosed Cotton Valley producer.

The planned Bear Head LNG project on the Strait of Canso in Nova Scotia has received final National Energy Board (NEB) approval to import U.S. natural gas and export liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the terminal. The NEB approval was previously issued in August 2015 (see Daily GPI,Aug. 17, 2015) but was subject to the approval of the Governor in Council, which was received Thursday, said Bear Head LNG Corp., a unit of Australia’s Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd. Bear Head LNG has approval from the U.S. Department of Energy to export U.S.-sourced natural gas to nations with and without free trade agreements with the United States.

Bear Head LNG Corp. Inc.has agreed to purchase additional land from Nova Scotia Business Inc. for its proposed liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility on the Strait of Canso in Richmond County, Nova Scotia. “It enables us to increase the capacity of the LNG facility from a nominal eight million tonnes per annum (mtpa) up to 12 mtpa in 2024, as per our approval from the National Energy Board,” said Bear Head President Maurice Brand. Bear Head is to acquire an additional 72 acres of land directly adjacent to its existing 255-acre site on the Strait of Canso. Bear Head has approval from the U.S. Department of Energy to export U.S.-sourced natural gas nations with and without free trade agreements with the United States (see Daily GPI,Feb. 8). Canada’s National Energy Board has granted Bear Head approval to export up to 12 mtpa. Bear Head said it has all the initial federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory approvals required to begin project construction.

The Bear Head liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project proposed for the Strait of Canso in Nova Scotia has received U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) approval to export up to 440 Bcf per year of U.S. natural gas to Canada for liquefaction and export to free trade agreement (FTA) countries.

Bear Head LNG Corp., which is developing a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export terminal in Nova Scotia, is seeking authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to import and then re-export western Canadian natural gas to supply the terminal.

Bear Head LNG Corp. — which recently doubled the size of its proposed Nova Scotia liquefaction and export terminal to 8 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) — is asking Canada’s National Energy Board (NEB) for a license to export ultimately up to 12 mtpa.

Summit Midstream Partners LLC plans to significantly expand its crude oil and water gathering system in North Dakota’s Williams and Divide counties in the Bakken Shale, the Dallas-based partnership said.
