Supplementing the company’s previously released earnings andreserve results, Barrett Resources reported that its 2000 naturalgas production increased 18% over production levels recorded in1999, from 95 Bcf to 112.4 Bcf. For the fourth quarter 2000, thecompany posted a realized average sales price of $4.01/Mcf,compared to 1999’s fourth quarter level of $2.06/Mcf. Due to thisfact, the company expects fourth quarter 2000 recurring net incomewill increase to nearly five-times the 1999 results for the sametime period. The gas production increase follows the company’spreviously released 303% reserve replacement and 21% increase ingas equivalent reserves to 1.4 Tcf for year-end 2000 (see DailyGPI, Jan. 29).
