Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL) is seeking agreen light to sell off 110 miles of offshore supply laterals andcertain abandoned, retired facilities in the Gulf of Mexico toGreen Canyon Pipe Line Co. LLC for an estimated $1.3 million.

In compliance with a major rate settlement approved by FERC inDecember, Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission LLC (KMI)earlier this week reported it paid a whopping $32.6 million inrefunds to customers on its mainline and Buffalo Wallow system lastmonth.

Continuing its aggressive acquisitions strategy, Atmos EnergyCorp. said last week it has reached a definitive agreement to pay$375 million for the gas operations of two Citizens Utilities Co.distribution subsidiaries – Louisiana Gas Service Co. and LGSNatural Gas Co. Atmos said the acquisitions will make it thelargest natural gas distributor in Louisiana with 359,000customers.

The previously underutilized pipeline and storage assets ofNatural Gas Pipeline Company of America (NGPL) have enjoyed robustvolume growth under the management of the merged KN Energy andKinder Morgan. Last week, Kinder Morgan’s NGPL said it has fullysubscribed its storage service with the latest of a number ofdeals.
