Citing significant market area demand, Florida Gas Transmissionissued an Overage Alert Day notice (6% tolerance for daily negativeimbalances) Monday for the system east of Station 12 (Santa RosaCounty, FL). The pipeline will re-evaluate conditions this morningbefore deciding whether to extend the notice.

Northwest Expansion Approved

In a draft order the FERC approved Northwest Pipeline’s mainlineexpansion plans in the Columbia River Gorge area of WashingtonState. The expansion will add 10,870 horsepower of compression atthree existing stations, increasing mainline capacity by 50,000Dth/d between the Stanfield, OR, meter station, where Northwestinterconnects with PG&E Gas Transmission-Northwest, andNorthwest’s interconnect with Sumas International Pipeline (SIPI)near Sumas, WA. Futures Side With Bearish Fundamentals…Again

After briefly testing resistance in the $2.00 area Wednesdaymorning, the futures market continued its journey lower as traderswere able to look past the short-term bullish impacts of coldweather and associated pipeline operational flow orders to focus onthe longer-term implications of storage and forecasts calling forwarmer weather. The February contract finished 4.4-cents lower at$1.931.

Koch Plans 600 MMcf/d Expansion from Grand Isle

Koch Gateway Pipeline is planning a new 600 MMcf/d pipelineexpansion from the Grand Isle, LA, area to Koch’s mainline inLouisiana. The project is designed to meet increasing demand fromdeep-water Gulf of Mexico producers seeking new delivery capacityand will complement Koch’s recently proposed Sea Star Pipeline. SeaStar is expected to deliver 660 MMcf/d of gas to Grand Isleprocessing plants from the South Pass and West Delta South Additionof the Offshore Continental Shelf.
