Officials at FERC’s Office of Market Oversight and Investigation (OMOI) said Thursday that they have found no evidence that Dominion employees had prior knowledge of the erroneous storage data that a Dominion “clerk” mistakenly submitted to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) last November.

Entergy-Koch Sale Considered Imminent

Entergy Corp. CEO J. Wayne Leonard said that he had expected to announce the sale of Entergy-Koch LP, its joint trading venture with Koch Industries, on Monday, but negotiations are “considerably more complex than selling a power plant.” However, several companies have expressed an interest in the unit, and negotiations remain ongoing with a “highly credible, very sophisticated buyer.”

NUI Expects to Announce Sales Agreement in Third Quarter

NUI Corp., which put itself up for sale last year after struggling financially, on Thursday announced it had amended its Form 10-Qs for the first and second quarters of fiscal 2004 to reflect prepayments related to its natural gas supply. The Bedminster, NJ-based gas utility said it expects to sign a definitive agreement with a purchaser in the third quarter of this year.

ExxonMobil Corp. and Apache Corp. last week announced a joint exploration and production agreement to capitalize on their strengths and assets both onshore and offshore North America. Among other things, Apache will take over ExxonMobil’s 28 producing oil and gas fields in West Texas and New Mexico and begin exploration of 300,000 undeveloped acres in Alberta.

Enterprise Products Partners LP and its joint venture partners, Shell Gas Transmission LLC (Shell) and Marathon Gas Transmission Inc. Wednesday announced plans to provide a comprehensive package of gathering, transportation, processing and exchange services to BHP Billiton for deepwater natural gas production from the Southern Green Canyon area of the central Gulf of Mexico. The onshore Neptune processing plant will be expanded to handle the additional volumes.
