ACSF Applauds DOE Funding of Natural Gas Vehicle Projects

Noting that a “significant portion of the funding” will be allotted to natural gas infrastructure projects, a nonprofit energy and environmental education organization, American Clean Skies Foundation (ACSF), praised the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) decision to provide nearly $300 million for development of alternative fuel vehicles, including those using compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Washington State Regulators Drop the Ball on Georgia Strait Pipe Project

Because Washington State’s environmental regulators did not act within the allotted statutory time frame, FERC said the state agency is “deemed” to have waived the certification requirements under the Clean Water Act (CWA) and Costal Zone Management Act (CZMA) with respect to Georgia Strait Pipeline Co. LP’s natural gas pipeline project in the Pacific Northwest.
