The parent companyof New York State Electric and Gas said it is adding CTG Resources,Inc., parent of Connecticut Natural Gas (CNG), to its plate, whichalready is loaded with CMP Energy and Connecticut Energy.

Koch Midstream Services Co. of Houston bought West Texasgathering and treating assets from Glossop Gas Co. Koch acquiredGlossop’s Chenot Putnam Gathering System and Treating Plant inPecos County, TX. The treating plant is capable of processing 10MMcf/d. The gathering system includes 33.5 miles of high-pressurepipeline. The system also includes existing production.

Dynegy recently announced construction plans for two separate500 MW facilities in the Southeast, making a reality of its promiseto increase its power asset portfolio in the area. With thesefacilities, one located in Heard County, GA and the other locatedin Oldham County, KY, Dynegy will increase its Southeast energyassets from three to five.

Lastweek, Dynegy announced a local commission approved plans toconstruct a plant in Heard County, GA. Yesterday, the company saidit gained approval from a local court to build the BluegrassGeneration facility in Oldham County, KY. With the Kentuckyfacility, Dynegy will own or have interest in five power plants inthe Southeast.
Coastal Adds Midcontinent Reserves
Coastal Corp. subsidiary Coastal Oil & Gas bought oil and gasassets of Conoco in the Uintah Basin of northeastern Utah and thePiceance Basin of western Colorado. The properties are in two ofthe most prolific gas basins in the Rocky Mountains. Provedreserves are estimated at 500 Bcfe, about 95% gas.
Samson Adds Producing Properties
Samson Resources Co., of Tulsa has acquired a significant blockof producing oil and gas properties in Texas, Louisiana,Mississippi, Alabama, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. from Duer Wagner& Co. of Fort Worth. The purchase price was in excess of $40million. The properties are located in the same geographical areasas certain of Samson’s existing properties and include multipleopportunities for additional drilling and recompletions.
