Black Hills Acquires Xcel Energy’s Wyoming Utility

Black Hills Corp. said last week that it signed a contract to buy Xcel Energy’s Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power (CLF&P) subsidiary, pending regulatory approval. While the companies did not disclose the price, Black Hills said it is expected to approximate the utility company’s book value. They expect the deal to close by the end of 2004.

Mission Resources Acquires Permian Property Interest for $26.7 Million

Mission Resources Corp. said Thursday that it has entered into an agreement to acquire an approximately 80% operating working interest in the Jalmat Field in Lea County, NM. The deal with an undisclosed party, will cost Mission $26.7 million in cash.
