Sempra Infrastructure’s proposed natural gas storage and distribution project in Louisiana could be built with limited impacts to the environment, according to analysis from FERC.

In a final environmental impact statement (FEIS) published last week, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission environmental staff concluded that most of the impacts during construction “would be temporary or short-term” (No. CP21-44). Staff also found that no alternatives or changes to the project plans would “provide a significant environmental advantage” over the current proposal.
