What is Regasification?

Regasification is the process of converting LNG, which is chilled to -260F, back into its original gaseous state. Think of it as the beginning of the “downstream” portion of the large scale LNG value chain, with LNG liquefaction being the “upstream” and the LNG shipping industry representing the “midstream.”
