Rockies-focused explorer PureWest Energy LLC said it has secured a deal to supply carbon-neutral natural gas for a fleet that serves Pierce County, WA.

The Denver-based independent is partnering with United Energy Trading LLC (UET) to provide Pierce Transit with the responsibly sourced gas (RSG). The amount of gas to be sold was not provided.

Pierce Transit, whose fleet is 80% fueled with compressed natural gas (CNG), covers 292 square miles, or roughly 70% of the county’s population. UET would physically deliver the supply.
