Central New York Oil and Gas Co. LLC (CNYOG), an Inergy LP subsidiary, will hold an open season beginning Monday (Nov. 21) for firm storage services from a Phase II expansion project at the Stagecoach natural gas storage facility in Tioga County, NY. Stagecoach’s existing storage facility has 13.6 Bcf of capacity; Phase II would add another 13 Bcf. The open season will end Dec. 16.

CNYOG will file for authorization with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and subject to regulatory approvals, construction would begin late next year with service in late 2007. Storage service rates will be market based.

The Phase II expansion will include 12 miles of storage lateral and interconnect facilities, called the Stagecoach North Lateral, for a connection to the proposed Millennium Pipeline. Interested parties will be able to contract for storage injection and withdrawal services with receipt and delivery points to either the Tennessee Pipeline Co. (TGPL) 300 Line and/or the Millennium Pipeline. The existing Stagecoach storage facility is connected to TGPL.
