Aquila Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of UtiliCorp United, on Tuesday named Dean Fuller as its senior vice president and general manager for its midstream services group based in Houston and San Antonio. The company also appointed two more members to the group: Steve Anderson to the position of commercial vice president and Mike Williams to the position of vice president of operations and engineering. Anderson, who has been in the business for more than 25 years, will be responsible for all of Aquila’s midstream commercial activity including supply and business development, while Williams, who has worked in the industry for more than 20 years, will be responsible for the company’s midstream asset operations and integrity, as well as value extraction

Spinnaker Exploration Co. reported that it has appointed Peter C. Stracke to the position of deepwater development manager. Stracke comes to Spinnaker with 20 years of subsea and deepwater experience, most recently with Oceaneering International as manager, subsea field development. The company also appointed Steven L. Hayes in the capacity of drilling manager. Hayes has 25 years of industry experience and was most recently employed by El Paso/Sonat as a regional director of drilling. Spinnaker Exploration Co. is an independent energy company engaged in the exploration, development and production of natural gas and oil in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.

Norma F. Dunn has assumed the role as senior vice president of Communications and Government Affairs for El Paso Corp. Dunn will manage all local, state, federal, and international government relations, while retaining her current responsibilities as senior vice president over all corporate communications, public relations, media relations, regional issues management, and emergency response activities.

Capstone Turbine Corp. reported that it has appointed Harol (“Hal”) Koyama to the position of vice-president of business development, a newly created position at the company. In making the announcement, Dr. Ake Almgren, CEO of Capstone Turbine, said, “Hal will report to me and be responsible for the development of strategic business relationships in the global marketplace for our microturbine system solutions.” Prior to joining Capstone, Koyama was vice-president of Business Development for International Fuel Cells and director of Strategic Planning for United Technologies Corporation.
