Shell Oil Co. said Wednesday that it has appointed Steve Murray, currently president of Shell Trading United States, to succeed Alan Raymond as CEO of Shell Energy Services Co. LLC. The company said the switch will take effect on Dec. 1. Shell said that Raymond has been instrumental in the operation of Shell Energy Services since its inception. He is retiring after 34 years of service.

AGL Resources Inc. named Gene Rozgonyi vice president and chief risk officer. Rozgonyi will be responsible for measuring and monitoring risk throughout AGL Resources and its subsidiaries — including financial risk, weather risk and risk related to the company’s trading and asset optimization activities. He also will oversee the company’s risk management committee and will develop and recommend risk management policies and procedures for AGLR’s various businesses. The company said Rozgonyi brings to AGL Resources more than 15 years of professional experience in financial risk management and trading business activities, most recently with New Century Energies as director of risk management.
