Leading natural gas marketers collectively lost ground with sales volumes in the first quarter, continuing a two-year trend of year/year declines, according to NGI’s Top North American Natural Gas Marketers rankings.

However, higher prices and mounting demand could turn the tide as 2021 progresses. Domestic demand is steady as summer weather settles in and economic activity picks up following successful vaccination campaigns. European, Asian and Mexican demand for U.S. natural gas and LNG exports also is strong.
