TECO Peoples Gas has added its three-hundredth natural gas customer in the state of Florida. “We’re excited to celebrate this landmark event in our company’s growth,” said Kent Hobart, general manager for Peoples Gas North Region. “In fact, this represents a 50% customer increase since 1997.” In reaching the 300,000 mark, TECO Peoples Gas said it is Florida’s leading provider of natural gas. TECO Peoples Gas’ parent company TECO Energy is a diversified, energy-related holding company based in Tampa, FL.

Calgary-based Cheyenne Energy Inc. said Wednesday that it plans to drill one exploratory (80% working interest) and two development wells (50% working interest each) in 2004 and has selected two additional locations (with 50% to 80% working interests) as part of a contingent extended program. The company also announced that it has recorded production in excess of 250 boe/d in Feb. 2004, a company high and in excess of 1,000% of the production level recorded in the first quarter of 2003. Cheyenne Energy’s production is weighted 98% to natural gas. In addition, the company reported that it has negotiated an agreement to issue 100,000 warrants to Chairman Patrick J. Cooney, which are exercisable for the purchase of common shares of the company with an exercise price of $0.70 per common share, expiring two years from the date of issue. Cheyenne Energy is a Canadian junior oil and gas exploration and development company.
