Boston, MA-based Honeoye Storage Corp. on Tuesday announced that it is inviting offers for firm gas storage service from its storage facility in Ontario County, NY, for up to a five-year term for storage seasons beginning April 1, 2007. The service is being offered at market-based rates and interested parties should submit offers to the company no later than April 22.

“Up to 1,170 MDth of firm service is available beginning April 1, 2007,” said David A. T. Donohue, president of Honeoye. He added that the company will accept proposals for a contract term of up to five years. The service will have a maximum daily injection quantity of 7,000 Dth/d from April 1 to Oct. 31 of each contract year. During each contract year the service will have a maximum daily withdrawal quantity as follows:

The company noted that customers committing to its firm service will need to make their own transportation arrangements to and from the Honeoye interconnection.

Located south of Rochester, NY, the Honeoye Field began operations in 1975 and five of its original customers, or their affiliates, continue to receive 4,293 MDth of service. The facility interconnects with Tennessee Gas Pipeline east of Rochester. The Honeoye facility is owned by an affiliate of KeySpan Energy Corp., Consolidated Energy Company of New York, Inc, and its three developers: Dave Donohue, Dick Norman and Jacek Makowski.
