Enable Midstream Partners LP has received FERC approval to construct and operate the 1.7 Bcf/d Gulf Run natural gas pipeline, designed in part to serve the liquefied natural gas (LNG) export project being built by ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum on the Texas coast.

The $540 million pipeline project is backed by a 20-year commitment for 1.1 Bcf/d from cornerstone shipper Golden Pass LNG and is expected to be placed into service in late 2022. Golden Pass is underway in Sabine Pass on the upper Texas coast. 

Gulf Run would source and transport natural gas from producing regions including the Haynesville, Marcellus, Utica and Barnett shales, and the Midcontinent. The planned 42-inch diameter pipeline would have 1.7 Bcf/d of capacity, “allowing for upside potential beyond Golden...
