Excelerate Energy Inc. has expanded its operations in South Asia after agreeing to supply Bangladesh with more LNG.

Excelerate, headquartered in The Woodlands north of Houston, has one of the world’s largest portfolios of floating liquefaction terminals. It signed a 15-year sales and purchase agreement (SPA) with state-owned Petrobangla to provide up to 1 million metric tons/year (mmty) of liquefied natural gas.

“Continued geopolitical instability has underscored the importance of global energy security,” said Excelerate CEO Steven Kobos. “The need for flexible LNG infrastructure and the essential services that Excelerate provides has never been greater.”
