Enterprise Products Partners L.P. and its subsidiaries, leadersin the midstream liquids business, have upped their ownershipinterest in the Dixie Pipeline Co. to 20% with the purchase ofConoco’s 8.3% interest.

Dixie Pipeline transports propane from NGL fractionators andrefineries in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi to customersthroughout the southeastern U.S. The pipeline extends approximately1,100 miles from Mont Belvieu, TX, to near Raleigh, N.C. The lineincludes a 204-mile lateral into Georgia.

The price of the acquisition was not disclosed.

“Enterprise is a major shipper on Dixie Pipeline and we arepleased to increase our ownership interest in this attractivepipeline asset. This purchase is consistent with our objective togrow our portfolio of fee-based assets in the natural gas and NGLvalue chain,” said O.S. “Dub” Andras, Enterprise president.

“Conoco has enjoyed its many years of affiliation with Dixie andwill continue its role as a major shipper and marketer of propanefor our customers in the southeastern U.S. on the Dixie system,”noted Mike Johnson, vice president and general manager, Natural Gas& Gas Products, Conoco Inc.

Enterprise is a leading integrated provider of processing,fractionation, storage, transportation and import/exportterminalling services to producers and consumers of natural gasliquids (“NGLs”) and other liquid hydrocarbons.
