The hot summer of long-term LNG supply contracts for U.S. exporters is continuing this week with another pair of separate sales and purchase agreements (SPA) by Cheniere Energy Inc. and NextDecade Corp.

A Cheniere subsidiary secured a 1 million metric tons/year (mmty) SPA for liquefied natural gas with Thailand’s PTT Public Co. Ltd. (PTT). Houston-based Cheniere’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction LLC could begin exporting cargoes in 2026 over 20 years. LNG would be linked to Henry Hub and transported via free-on-board and ex-ship deliveries.
