FERC Commissioner Nora Mead Brownell has named three top aides to her personal staff: Mary C. Morton, James A. Pederson and Jamie L. Simler.

Morton served as an attorney adviser in the Commission’s Office of General Counsel since December 2000; Pederson had been a supervisory attorney-advisor in the Office of Markets, Tariffs and Rates (OMTR) where he focused on natural gas issues; and Simler has served as a supervisory energy industry analyst in OMTR’s Division of Corporation Applications since November 2000.

In a related development, Chairman Pat Wood has appointed Jeffie Janette Massey, an administrative law judge with the Social Security Administration (SSA) in San Antonio as a Commission ALJ. Prior to her stint with the SSA, Massey had been a public defender in Columbus, TX.
