FERC and the Department of Energy will co-host a technical conference March 28 on security investments for energy infrastructure to discuss security practices to protect energy infrastructure [AD19-12]. The conference is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at Federal Energy Regulatory Commission headquarters in Washington, DC. FERC said it plans to release additional details in a supplemental notice. Boost Southern Oregon, a coalition supporting the Jordan Cove liquefied natural gas (LNG) project at Coos Bay, OR, said the Department of State Lands is expected to soon approve removal-fill permits for construction work in state waters. A Jordan Cove spokesperson said the project’s application at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission is on schedule for a decision by November.
