The timing for the next leg of growth in North America remains uncertain, but there’s “no question” that natural gas output will drive the market into 2025 and beyond because of LNG exports and rising electricity demand, Halliburton Co. CEO Jeff Miller said.

Speaking to analysts during the first quarter conference call, Miller was asked whether U.S. exploration and production (E&P) customers were signaling they would expand their gas activity into the second half of the year.

“I think the big leg of growth in North America is a question of timing,” Miller said. “But it is no question going to drive a lot of growth in North America…I expect it will drive market growth in 2025 and beyond.”
