HOUSTON (ICIS) — Northeast Asia spot prices eased last week on potential softening of demand but rebounded mid-week, as increased crude oil prices and supply tightness drove up price discussions. 

The East Asia Index (EAX) for May ’22 was assessed at $29.50/MMBtu on 13 April. The EAX front-month showed an overall decline of almost 8% from a week earlier, but nearly a 2% uptick from the previous day.
