Spectra Energy Corp. has suspended development of its Carolina Project, a spokesman said, but the company “will be analyzing other opportunities in the region,” he said. The project was envisioned as a 427-mile, 36-inch diameter natural gas pipeline, with capacity of up to 1.1 Bcf/d, that would run from the heart of the Marcellus Shale to North Carolina (see Shale Daily, May 20).
