Energy.com Going Global With Web Site
Energy.com Corp. of Columbus, OH, plans to go international with
its Internet site on the World Wide Web. The global enhancement of
Energy.com on-line will evolve through a series of strategic
partnerships and joint ventures. "Rapid expansion of our business
to capture the international opportunities is a key part of the
overall plan for Energy.com," said Paul Feldman, chairman. "We see
the international market as a natural extension of the capabilities
we have in place for the U.S. market."
"Providing consumer access to a broad range of energy resources,
as well as energy-related products and services, is the primary
focus of our Internet business. This is not limited to consumers in
the United States. Many international energy customers already have
a choice of energy suppliers, while still others will experience
choice in the future," said Thomas L. Ulry, president.
The international aspects of Energy.com will be developed one
geographic region at a time by establishing strategic partnerships
with well-positioned companies in various countries. Energy.com's
partners will bring local expertise with area natural gas and
electric providers, and energy-related product and service
suppliers. Like the current Energy.com web site, these
international segments will allow consumers to buy products,
arrange services and contract with energy providers on-line.
