A unit of NET Holdings Management LLC has struck a long-term, fee-based gas transportation agreement with Murphy Exploration & Production Co. — USA that includes a 100,000-acre dedication in the dry gas window of the Eagle Ford Shale, NET said Monday.

Eagle Ford Midstream LP, a subsidiary of NET, intends to build a 110-mile pipeline that will initially deliver pipeline-quality gas to Tilden, TX, in McMullen County where it will have interconnects with NET’s LaSalle Pipeline and Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line. LaSalle Pipeline is a 53-mile, 16-inch diameter intrastate pipeline in McMullen, LaSalle and Frio counties. LaSalle, completed in 2009, provides the full gas supply requirements for a 200 MW generation facility.

A second phase of the project will add deliveries to interstate and intrastate pipelines at the Agua Dulce Hub in South Texas and will provide producers with their choice of multiple gas markets, NET said.

Eagle Ford Midstream is holding an open season for additional transportation services on its system. Ultimate capacity and delivery points will be determined by customer interest. For information, contact Dick Krueger at (713) 800-1940 or Mike Freeman at (713) 800-1984.

NET is a privately held midstream and marketing company that owns seven intrastate gas pipelines in Texas and Louisiana and markets natural gas across the United States.

A number of projects have been proposed to handle growing gas and liquids production in the Eagle Ford. Recently DCP Midstream LLC announced an open season for its proposed DCP Sandhills Pipeline (see Shale Daily, Nov. 24).
