Candidates to head up three main divisions of the Federal EnergyRegulatory Commission being created in the on-going FERC Firstrestructuring should have their applications in to the Commissionby Sept. 24, according to a government job notice being circulatednationwide. A salary between $106,412 and $125,900 comes with thedirectors’ positions for the Office of Markets, Tariffs and Rates,the Office of Strategy and Organization Management, and the Officeof Administrative Litigation.

The employment opportunities posted under the top Civil Servicejob ranking, the Senior Executive Service, are open to candidatesboth inside and outside government. All three positions reportdirectly to the FERC chairman.

While the jobs are being advertised, the offices they will headup have yet to be created. Teams are being organized withrepresentation from all across the Commission to work on setting upthe new organizational structure which could take as long as 20months to complete. Kevin Madden, head of the Office of PipelineRegulation will “sponsor” or direct the team organizing the marketsand rates division.
