Citing limited operational flexibility to manage imbalances in market-area Zones 5 and 6 along with increased demand there, Tennessee issued an Imbalance Warning for the two zones Wednesday. Regardless of their cumulative imbalance positions, under the warning all delivery point operators are required to keep actual daily takes out of the system equal to or less than scheduled quantities, and all receipt point operators must keep actual daily receipts into the system equal to or greater than scheduled quantities, Tennessee said.

Linepack has returned to normal operating levels, Kern River said Wednesday. However, due to ongoing maintenance at Dry Lake Compressor Station, which is scheduled for completion Friday, the pipeline asked customers to continue aligning supplies with physical deliveries. Las Vegas-based LDC Southwest Gas lifted Wednesday the Hold Burn to Scheduled Quantities notice that it had issued Monday in response to Kern River’s low-linepack situation at that time.

After making revisions of pipeline caps on deliveries to its citygate that went into effect Tuesday (see Daily GPI, March 22), Nicor Gas said effective Thursday it is removing all caps on deliveries to its system, and Nicor Gas Hub shippers’ storage injections will no longer be interrupted.

Rockies Express (REX) lifted Wednesday the force majeure it had issued a day earlier at Bertrand Compressor Station due to an outage of Unit No. 4. In anticipation of completing the necessary repairs, REX had resumed scheduling quantities through Segment 250 back to full capacity effective with Evening Cycle nominations for Wednesday’s gas day.

Columbia Gulf is holding a binding open season through Friday for 130,000 Dth/d of open capacity available for delivery to Florida Gas Transmission near Lafayette, LA. Total deliverability there is 300,000 Dth/d (170,000 Dth/d is already under contract). The capacity can be accessed beginning April 1.
