Citing lower linepack and its limited operational flexibility to manage market-area imbalances, Tennessee declared an Imbalance Warning in downstream Zones 5 and 6 Thursday. It requires all delivery point operators to keep actual daily takes out of the system equal to or less than scheduled quantities, and all receipt point operators to keep actual daily receipts into the system equal to or greater than scheduled quantities. Both conditions apply regardless of cumulative imbalance positions.

The Sea Robin Gas Processing Plant operated by Hess Corp. will shut in Monday for scheduled maintenance but will continue the dehydration process. Sea Robin Pipeline said it will not accept PTR (Plant Thermal Reduction) and PVR (Plant Volume Reduction) nominations during this outage.

Southern California Gas has scheduled for Tuesday a one-day gasket replacement on Line 225 south of the Wheeler Ridge border receipt point. The work will reduce the utility’s Wheeler Ridge Zone capacity by about 580 MMcf that day, resulting in total zone capacity of 312 MMcf, SoCalGas said. In a related note, Kern River advised customers to “schedule their gas accordingly and utilize the Kramer Junction delivery meter as necessary to facilitate deliveries into SoCalGas’ system. Kern River’s operational capacity at Kramer Junction is 550,000 Dth/d. In Evening cycle nominations for Thursday’s gas day, Kern River shippers scheduled 396,213 Dth/d there, leaving 153,787 Dth/d available. For the same cycle, the shippers scheduled 453,792 Dth/d at Wheeler Ridge (operational capacity of 885,000 Dth/d), leaving 431,208 Dth/d available.

In addition, SoCalGas declared a force majeure event in connection with scheduled ultrasonic testing Thursday of Unit #1 at its Blythe location, which will reduce receipt capacity by 160 MMcf/d that day at the Ehrenberg border point.

Transco said Thursday it resumed accepting nominations for delivery into Gulfstream at their Coden, AL, interconnect for Friday’s gas day but warned that if processing and gas quality issues are not resolved on the Mobile Bay Lateral sufficiently for tendered gas to meet Gulfstream quality specifications (see Daily GPI, March 3), Transco may be required to reduce those nominations during the intraday scheduling cycles Friday.

Gulf South will begin about five days of pipe maintenance March 14 on Index 129-42 (12-inch diameter Fort Bend Line), during which the Ft Bend receipt point operated by Atmos Pipeline will be unavailable for service.
