Tennessee declared a force majeure event of an unspecified nature Friday for the 26-inch diameter 523M-100 line south of Cocodrie, LA. Tennessee said it has isolated the pipe section and is in the process of lowering the pressure for further analysis. Five Ship Shoal and two South Pelto meters were required to shut in, but Tennessee said it is allowing associated nominations to remain in place at this time.

CIG said Thursday it has added a new constraint, CIG Mainline to High Plains (CMH), to Segment 940 upstream of the Crazy Horse location. This will accommodate delivering mainline-sourced gas to shippers on the High Plains system in northeast Colorado, the pipeline said. High Plains is a separate rate and fuel zone from the rest of the mainline system and operates at higher pressures. Now mainline shippers can deliver gas to High Plains shippers at Crazy Horse without being subject to the incremental High Plains rates, CIG said.. “Further, High Plains shippers are able to receive gas at Crazy Horse and only be subject to High Plains Transportation charges. Because of the pressure differences between the two areas of CIG’s system, the new CMH constraint point is needed to manage the capacity available to deliver gas into the higher-pressure facilities.” See the bulletin board for other details.

NOVA said there is potential for an imbalance tolerance change on its system due to high linepack. Its Western Canada transmission neighbor, Westcoast, had a high-linepack OFO in place since midweek.

Southern California Gas said Friday it regained 25 MMcf/d of injection capacity after completing maintenance earlier than expected at its Playa del Rey storage field; the work had been expected to last until Feb. 4.
