NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage unit Columbia Gas Transmission is seeking to sell or lease the Greenwood and North Greenwood storage fields in Steuben County, NY. The fields consist of approximately 6,700 acres, including nine storage wells, approximately three miles of storage pipeline and a 1,000 hp compressor station. Of the nine storage wells, four have active injection and withdrawal capabilities and one is an underground injection control injection well. Summit Midstream Partners LLC subsidiary DFW Midstream Services LLC has commissioned the Arlington No. 1 gathering station with the start-up of an initial 19,800 hp of compression. This is the first gathering station within the city limits of Arlington, TX, By the end of 2010 the station is expected to accommodate 37,800 hp of compression. With a smaller gathering station in Dalworthington Gardens, TX, DFW's system will have capacity to transport approximately 500 MMcf/d by year-end. Summit also announced that DFW has acquired additional pipeline assets from a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corp. The acquired assets include a 6.5-mile high-pressure pipeline that will connect DFW's gathering system into Enterprise Products Partners LP's Trinity River Lateral. The transaction is underpinned by a long-term contract between DFW and its shippers.
