MRT said late Tuesday afternoon it was immediately lifting a System Protection Warning associated with an engine failure that began July 28 at its Unionville storage facility and was limiting injection capability. In a recent update on Unionville (see Daily GPI, Aug. 10), MRT had expected the restriction to last through Thursday of last week.

Referring to “the dwindling amount of available capacity at the Jackson Prairie storage facility,” Northwest asked customers to closely align their markets and supplies to avoid banking on the system. Receiving parties north of Kemmerer (WY) Compressor Station with gas banked on the system were urged to arrange drafting of the system to eliminate their imbalances. “Please note that gas being banked on the system north of Kemmerer may be injected into Clay Basin [storage facility operated by Questar],” Northwest said. If excessive banking continues, the pipeline said, it will declare a customer-specific and/or general entitlement for underruns for receiving parties north of Kemmerer.

Tennessee declared a force majeure event early Wednesday afternoon for the West Delta 109 meter in order to investigate and repair a leak on Line 527A-800. Tennessee said it was “not requiring adjustments to nominations at this time but requires that the operator and producer keep physical flow to zero until further notice.

In another announcement, Tennessee said Wednesday the pig receiver installation project between Main Line Valves 208-4 and 209-4 remained on schedule for completion by the start of Thursday’s gas day, and it will resume accepting nominations at the Big Muskie receipt interconnect with Rockies Express in eastern Ohio effective for Friday flows. Volumes had been shut in at Big Muskie since the project began Aug. 11. Tennessee also said Wednesday it had allowed flows to resume (subject to pipeline confirmation) at five meters that had been shut in by pigging operations that began Monday on the 547J-100 Line.

Southern Star Central said it has begun annual maintenance on Line Segments 490 and 491 that is scheduled to run through Aug. 27. The project is causing capacity reductions of 18% to 159,695 Dth/d at Riner Station in Sweetwater County, WY, and 5% to 175,018 Dth/d at St. Francis Station in Cheyenne County, KS, the pipeline said.

Panhandle Eastern reported completing a pipe relay outage on the Elk City 100 Line from Elk City Station to Gate Valve 102. It was accepting intraday nominations for Tuesday’s gas day at nine meters that had been shut in during the work (see the bulletin board for a list).
