Due to predictions of Florida temperatures in the mid 90s, Florida Gas Transmission told market-area customers it was issuing an Overage Alert Day Wednesday with 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances.

Following a three-day preparation period (see Daily GPI, June 5), Westcoast began the annual turnaround Wednesday at its Fort Nelson Gas Plant. No processing capacity is available until the plant resumes normal operations, which is scheduled for June 23.

ANR said it began unplanned engine maintenance Tuesday at the Defiance (OH) Compressor Station in the Northern Fuel Segment (ML-7). The work, which is expected to last through June 23, is reducing Defiance North-CFTP capacity by 73 MMcf/d (leaving 1,032 MMcf/d available), ANR said. Based on recent nominations, it is anticipated that the reduction may result in the curtailment of IT and Firm Secondary nominations.

As a result of line inspections, Transco said Wednesday it will take a section of pipe near the North Carolina-Virginia border out of service for anomaly repair starting Saturday. The work could take up to six weeks to complete, during which IT and Secondary Firm capacity through Station 170 will not be available, Transco said.

TGT said Tuesday it was reducing deliveries on the Greenville Lateral to meet its current Firm service obligations of 430,000 MMBtu/d. “This reduction will remain in place pending completion of maintenance, pipeline inspection and investigation activities,” TGT said, adding that the completion date is unknown at this time. Based on current nominations and assistance from interconnecting parties, it does not expect the work to cause any cuts in Firm Primary service.
