Pacific Gas & Electric narrowed a systemwide high-inventory OFO issued for Saturday to a customer-specific one Sunday, then allowed it to expire Monday. However, PG&E issued a new systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO for Tuesday, setting penalties of $1/Dth for exceeding a 5% tolerance on positive daily imbalances.
Southern California Gas extended Saturday's high-linepack OFO through Sunday, then lifted it Monday.
As it had warned might be necessary last week (see Daily GPI, June 20), Southern Natural Gas is placing limitations on interruptible injections effective Wednesday until further notice. The pipeline stressed that firm injections are not being restricted. See the bulletin board for list of the rules that are being applied to interruptible storage transactions.
Based on the results from pig runs in May, Northwest will perform five unplanned anomaly investigations just south of the Muddy Creek Compressor Station from Tuesday through Friday this week. "As a result of these anomaly investigations and the scheduled pig runs in the Muddy Creek to Kemmerer corridor, Northwest must reduce the northbound capacity through the Muddy Creek North Constraint Point to 615,000 Dth/d," a bulletin board posting said. "If primary nomination requests through Muddy Creek North Constraint continue to exceed the available capacity, Northwest will declare a Deficiency Period and cut nominations accordingly. In addition, if the primary nominations exceed the design capacity of 652,000 Dth/d, an OFO will be issued in conjunction with the Deficiency Period."
Due to the #3 processing train being off-line at Pine River Gas Plant, Westcoast has implemented a 60% firm Raw Gas Transmission constraint at the plant until further notice.
Due to a crankcase failure, ANR has begun uplanned engine repairs at its Sandwich Compressor Station in Illinois. It is accepting only Firm Primary nominations through the Sandwich East-CFTP and the Sandwich North-CFTP points. ANR expects this operational restriction to continue through July 4. Due to higher line pressure along the Southwest Mainline from the Sandwich engine outage, an incompatibility has been created at the Kansas interconnect between Cheyenne Plains and ANR, ANR said Sunday. It requires that capacity at the Greensburg CCP receipt point must be limited to 164,000 Dth/d until further notice, ANR added. Based on current nominations, this will impact pooling receipts from this location, the pipeline said. The Sandwich outage also requires that ANR limit receipt capacity at the Marshfield Viking Interconnect to 240,000 Dth/d until further notice. Based on current nominations at Viking-Marshfield, it is anticipated that the reduction will result in the curtailment of IT and Firm Secondary nominations.
A gas quality issue has been reported at the Arbuckle/Banker-Carter receipt point in Carter County, OK, NGPL said Monday. The point has been shut in and will be unavailable until further notice effective with Tuesday's gas day, NGPL said.
