Citing high linepack and forecasts of warm weather, MRT said a System Protection Warning (SPW) would be in effect for the holiday weekend gas days of Saturday through Monday. Under the SPW, MRT would not schedule any volumes that resulted in a daily long position for a shipper, and no makeup of short positions was being accepted.

Pacific Gas & Electric extended a systemwide high-inventory OFO through at least Saturday, but loosened the tolerance for positive daily imbalances from 5% to 14%. Despite the OFO entering its third day, PG&E still projected Friday that its linepack would rise above maximum target levels during the three-day weekend.

Beginning June 1, Dominion will accept reduced transmission and gathering receipts into its Eastern Area. This area includes gathered gas in Barbour County, WV, and transmission feeds into TL-373, TL-323 and TL-259/Peora Junction, along with production bubbles 4202, 4203 and 4205, Dominion said. "This action results from insufficient local market demand, high storage inventory levels at Bridgeport Storage Pool and the planned outage of TL-283 for repairs," it added. The restriction does not impact deliveries to Columbia Gas flowing on Dominion gathering facilities H-21935 and H-21936 (formerly called the Coronado Pipeline). Pool operators are required to reduce Eastern Area pool deliveries by 34% for June. "We expect some level of curtailment to continue throughout much of the summer, though the volumes curtailed may vary depending on [Dominion's] ability to move gas out of the Eastern Area," the pipeline said. Dominion pool management personnel will be providing pool operators with authorized monthly flow amounts, and by June 1 the operators must provide Dominion with a list of all receipt points in the Eastern Area and the projected flow for each point. Dominion said it will strictly enforce this restriction, and if appropriate, confiscate any gas above authorized levels.

Gulf South began unscheduled maintenance Thursday on Unit #5 at Bistineau Compressor Station and said the work was expected to continue for about 10 days. Injection capacity at the Bistineau storage facility is reduced by 150,000 Dth/d during this period, but withdrawal capacity will not be affected, the pipeline said.

An engine failure at Sandwich Compressor Station in Illinois caused ANR to begin unplanned repairs Friday. Until further notice ANR is accepting only Firm Primary nominations through the Sandwich East-CFTP and the Sandwich North-CFTP points. As of Friday the operational restriction was expected to continue through Tuesday.

El Paso took the C unit at Williams Station down for corrective action Thursday night after it developed an exhaust leak. No cut in North Mainline capacity was necessary in Thursday's Cycle 4 nominations, El Paso said, but it was required to reduce the North Mainline by 200 MMcf/d in Cycle 2 Friday. However, the restriction was lifted for Cycle 3 Friday.
