ExxonMobil Corp. has a bundle of natural gas-heavy properties in Texas and Canada up for sale, according to Indigopool.com, Schlumberger’s acquisition and divestiture website.

The documents posted indicate the Irving, TX-based major is soliciting bids to sell its operated gas fields in the Baffin Bay area of Kenedy and Kleberg counties in South Texas. Bids for those assets are due June 18, with an effective sale date of Sept. 1. Net production from seven fields in the Baffin Bay field was 2.8 MMcf/d in January, according to the documents. A data room for the assets opened this month.

ExxonMobil Canada Energy also has a list of various gas-intense properties for sale “in the near future” in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) and the Yukon Territory. Included in the WCSB package are:

In the Yukon, Exxon’s Canadian affiliate wants to sell its 1% interest in Kotaneelee, which produces 15 Mcf/d and is described as the “only producing field in” the territory. Imperial Oil Ltd., in which Exxon is majority owner, also wants to sell its 10% stake in Kotaneelee, from which it is producing 110 Mcf/d.

Imperial is listing additional Canadian exploration and midstream properties for sale on Indigopool.com. Gas-heavy exploration assets for sale include its nonoperated stakes in the Bougie, Brazeau Nisku, Crossfield Petrogas, Highvale and John Lake properties.

Midstream assets to be sold include Imperial’s 100% interest in the WCSB’s Devon Fractionation Facility, which processes natural gas liquids; and Golden Spike D3, with “development potential for gas storage.” In addition, Imperial wants to sell a 50% stake in Parsons Lake SDL 62 in the Northwest Territories, which offers “gas development potential with possible access to future gas pipeline.”
