Due to high linepack and unavailability of the Unionville storage facility, MRT will implement a System Protection Warning at the start of Tuesday’s gas day. These restrictions will be in effect until further notice: MRT will not schedule any volumes that result in a daily long imbalance position; it will not accept any makeup of short positions; and it will not schedule nor allocate storage injection volumes (including No-Notice).

Florida Gas Transmission declared an Overage Alert Day with 25% tolerance for negative daily imbalances Saturday, then allowed it to lapse Sunday.

Pacific Gas & Electric did not extend a systemwide Stage 2 high-inventory OFO beyond Saturday.

Southern California Gas said it lost 50 MMcf/d of injection capacity Sunday at the Honor Rancho storage facility due to a unit 1 being out of srvice due to high crankcase pressure. It is not known at this point when the unit can be returned to service, SoCalGas said.

Repair of a Goodsprings Compressor Station unit (see Daily GPI, May 4) has been completed and the unit is now available for service, Kern River said Monday. It increased Goodsprings operational capacity to normal effective with Intraday 1 cycle nominations for Monday.

Gulf South said scheduled maintenance on Unit #2 at Bistineau Compressor Station that began March 19 has been extended through June 5. The work, which is reducing injection capacity into the pipeline’s Bistineau storage field in northwest Louisiana by as much as 100 MMcf/d (withdrawal capacity isn’t affected) was originally expected to last about 30 days. This is the second announced postponement of the completion date.
