Pacific Gas & Electric did not extend a customer-specific low-inventory OFO beyond Thursday.
After declaring Thursday morning it had "temporarily" completed repairs on Engines 7 and 8 at Cornwell Compressor Station and was allowing production in bubbles 2205, 2206 and 2207 to return to normal volumes (see Daily GPI, March 1), Dominion said that afternoon it experienced electrical problems in returning the engines to service and the production in those bubbles must again be reduced by 30% until further notice. The new electrical problems were unrelated to the recent mechanical problems, the pipeline told customers. A replacement part for Engine 8 has been ordered and should be installed later this month, it said.
Tennessee lifted Thursday a force majeure that had been declared last August due to equipment failure at Compressor Station 25 in Cleveland, TX, which had resulted in partial unavailability of capacity (see Daily GPI, Aug. 10, 2006). Tennessee said it had installed portable compression at the station on Jan. 30 in order to increase the reliability of the equipment at the station. Additionally, it reported being able to successfully install replacement parts to ensure that the equipment at Station 25 is working on a consistent basis. Tennessee said it will continue to monitor Station 25 "as well as upstream and downstream facilities in order to ensure that the replacement equipment is performing optimally and that operations at Station 25 no longer impact service."
Gulf South began unscheduled maintenance Wednesday on Montpelier Compressor Station's Unit #4 that it expects to last through March 14. Capacity through the station could be reduced by as much as 75 MMcf/d during this work.
Transco said it will perform facility modifications associated with a tap installation on the mainline downstream of Mile Pole 26.16 in Hidalgo County, TX on Wednesday and Thursday of next week. The work will affect about 20 MMcf/d of production at five receipt points, Transco said. All receipts upstream of Mile Pole 26.16 must either shut in or have deliveries scheduled to TETCO [Texas Eastern] Lacy, it added. "This portion of Transco's system has very limited flexibility. If physical deliveries at TETCO Lacy are not consistent with flowing supplies, Transco will shut in the receipts upstream of the work location immediately."
