Southern California Gas, which recently exited a segment outage on Line 4000 that caused a 700 MMcf/d reduction of border receipt capacity (see Daily GPI, Dec. 7), said it will isolate the line again Friday from Newberry to Main Line Valve 12 (a total of 36 miles) to repair a leak. The will cause a one-day capacity loss of 690 MMcf/d at the Topock, North Needles and Questar border points, leaving total combined throughput not to exceed 650 MMcf/d, SoCalGas said.

Sea Robin Pipeline said the Hess-operated Sea Robin Processing Plant was shut down for emergency maintenance at the start of Wednesday’s gas day. The plant’s estimated return to service was Thursday evening. It was not processing during the unplanned outage but continued to dehydrate gas. And in another of a series of delays for the return to service of two meters at the South Marsh Island 128 platform that had suffered hurricane damage last year, Sea Robin Pipeline rescheduled the meters’ reactivation to March 1, 2007. Most recently it had said Jan. 1, 2007 was the anticipated date (see Daily GPI, Nov. 29).

Gulf South began unscheduled maintenance Thursday on Unit #2 at the Hall Summit Compressor Station Unit #2, saying it would provide a completion date as soon as a determination is made by its contractor. Station capacity could be affected by as much as 75 MMcf/d during this work, Gulf South said.
