Florida Gas Transmission allowed an Overage Alert Day for market-area customers to expire Tuesday, but cautioned them that with freezing weather being forecasted in northern Florida again by Thursday evening, it may need to reimplement an Overage Alert Day for an upcoming gas day.

Northbound firm scheduled volumes through the Kemmerer (WY) Compressor Station were being scheduled at approximately 700,000 Dth/d, well above the design capacity of 653,000 Dth/d, Northwest said in a Monday afternoon notice to shippers. In addition to asking for customer assistance to voluntarily reduce northbound nominations through Kemmerer, Northwest said that in an effort to avoid declaring a Kemmerer-related OFO, it will use its “limited storage flexibility” by withdrawing gas from its Jackson Prairie facility and injecting gas into Questar‘s Clay Basin facility. This practice will be used to offset OFOs only as long as Northwest’s Jackson Prairie firm balancing account exceeds 1.2 million dekatherms, the pipeline said. “As the winter heating season progresses and operational conditions change, Northwest will revise its threshold level downward to the extent possible.” Northwest continued to encourage customers to secure adequate supplies from Canadian sources, particularly at Sumas, during cold periods in order to avoid entitlements and OFOs.

TGT said unscheduled maintenance at the Sharon (LA) Compressor Station caused it to reduce operational capacity through the station to about 525,000 MMBtu/d for Wednesday’s gas day.
