Oklahoma City, OK-based Kerr-McGee Corp. said Tuesday it has promoted Terence Jupp to vice president of international exploration and production, Frank Patterson to vice president of exploration and technology and Greg Jewell to director of Gulf of Mexico exploration. Jupp will be responsible for managing Kerr-McGee’s development, production and execution of the exploration program in international hydrocarbon basins, including China, Brazil, West Africa, Trinidad and Tobago and Australia along with the North Slope of Alaska. Patterson will manage Kerr-McGee’s worldwide exploration program. His responsibilities include exploration strategy, planning, investment allocation and technology. Jewell will manage Kerr-McGee’s exploration efforts in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. These efforts include prospect and play generation and evaluation, lease sale participation and partner relations.

The board of directors of Charlotte, NC-based Piedmont Natural Gas on Wednesday elected two officers to key financial positions at the company. Robert O. Pritchard, treasurer at Piedmont has been promoted to vice president, treasurer and CRO, effective July 1. In his expanded role Pritchard will be responsible for the company’s financing, risk insurance, procurement and credit activities. Pritchard will assume the duties of Ted C. Coble, who after being with Piedmont since 1969, is retiring. Jose M. Simon, CPA, was also elected to the position of vice president and controller of Piedmont, effective July 1. Simon comes to Piedmont from Virginia Natural Gas Inc. where he currently serves as director of Public Affairs. Simon will replace Barry L. Guy who has elected to retire after 28 years with Piedmont. The company also reported that Vicki H. Wilson-McElreath and Dr. E. James Burton have been elected to the board of directors. Their elections are also effective July 1.
