Maintenance on Laguna Station’s #3 unit, previously scheduled for March 7-9, has been postponed to April, El Paso said. The ongoing force majeure involving repair of the #2 unit at Belen Station will continue until further notice, reducing San Juan Crossover capacity by 35 MMcf/d from a base capacity of 650 MMcf/d, the pipeline added.

Citing logistics setbacks again, operator Northern Natural Gas said Tuesday it now expects to return all but three Matagorda Offshore Pipeline System (MOPS) platforms to service downstream of Matagorda 758 sometime during Thursday’s gas day (see Daily GPI, March 7).

Questar plans March 21-23 maintenance at its Oak Spring Compressor Station. The ML 104 scheduling point will be reduced to 270,000 Dth/d on March 21 and 22, increasing to 320,000 Dth/d on March 23 and then returning to the normal 380,000 Dth/d March 24. Based on current nominations, the March 21 and 22 cuts represent a 90% reduction of flexed nominations, while March 23 cuts represent a 50% reduction of flexed nominations, Questar said. As nominations are realigned, it added, it is likely that other Southern System constraint points may need to be utilized as well.

Southern Natural Gas announced an open season for bids on 140 MMcf/d of FT capacity in the Production Area (Zone 0) on Southern’s South Mainline system. The capacity is subject to a right of first refusal (“ROFR”) by its present holder. Southern said 90 MMcf/d will become available Feb. 1, 2007 and the other 50 MMcf/d will become available on March 1, 2007. The open season ends at 5 p.m. CCT on March 21.
