Ozark Gas Transmission LLC, an Affiliate of Atlas Pipeline Mid-Continent LLC, will conduct a nonbinding open season for its proposed East End Expansion Project beginning March 6 and ending on March 31. The extension proposal calls for 100 miles of 24-inch pipe originating in White County AR, near the city of Searcy and terminating in Panola County, MS ,near the city of Sardis.

The line would include 20,000 horsepower of additional compression and carry up to 400 MMcf/d.. The line would tap the Anadarko and Arkoma Basins, both of which have seen increased production and the newly developing Fayetteville Shale.

Ozark currently connects with Kinder Morgan’s Natural Gas Pipeline, Mississippi River Transmission, and Texas Eastern Transmission. Ozark is proposing additional connections with Texas Gas Transmission, ANR Pipeline and Trunkline Gas.

The open season will provide Ozark with information regarding the general interest for the extension of its existing pipeline and the addition of new delivery points east of the Mississippi River.

Based on the results of the initial open season, Ozark will determine the economic viability and optimal size for the project. It then may schedule a binding open season by the middle of the year and execute precedent agreements. It could file with FERC in the fourth quarter and start construction in mid-2007 with completion in mid-2008. As outlined the project is expected to cost $150 million.
