In its final report on Tropical Storm Arlene, the Minerals Management Service (MMS) Tuesday said there remained one platform that was still evacuated in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM), along with 59 MMcf/d of shut-in natural gas and 5,696 bbl/d of crude oil. Only four producers reported losses to the MMS.

The platform evacuation is equivalent to 0.12% of 819 manned platforms that operate in the GOM. The shut-in gas production is equivalent to 0.55% of normal daily production in the GOM, which is currently 10.8 Bcf/d. Shut-in oil production is equivalent to 0.39% of daily production, which is currently 1.46 million bbl/d.

MMS reported that the cumulative shut-in gas production from Friday through midday Tuesday is 3.428 Bcf, which is equivalent to 0.087% of the yearly production of about 3.94 Tcf. Oil production shut in for the same period is 574,747 bbl, equivalent to 0.109% of yearly GOM production — about 529 million bbl.
