Pacific Gas & Electric set the tolerance for positive daily imbalances at zero in declaring a systemwide Stage 3 high-inventory OFO for Wednesday. Penalties are $5/Dth.

Saying compressor Unit #3 had been repaired, Transwestern raised capacity of the P-3 Station on its Panhandle Lateral from 170,000 MMBtu/d to 200,000 MMBtu/d effect with intraday Cycle 3 nominations Tuesday. The pipeline expects to complete Unit #5 repairs late Thursday and said a team will be installing and test running the compressor Friday. Upon its return to service, the station will be able to restore normal capacity of 263,000 MMBtu/d.

CenterPoint lifted an operational alert Monday, saying maintenance that began Sept. 25 at the Amber Station (see Daily GPI, Sept. 24) had been completed.

El Paso has taken Unit #3 at Plains Station down through Oct. 28 for compressor overhaul. Under current operating conditions, the unit is needed to deliver larger volumes of gas to Westar Felmac (IW40-043), El Paso explained. Effective Oct. 6 the capacity of IW40-043 is limited to 60 MMcf/d for the duration of the outage.
