Northwest said it was unable to do its OFO calculationsyesterday and noted that scheduled quantities of gas flowing norththrough the Kemmerer Compressor for gas day Nov. 9 did not exceedKemmerer capacity. As a result it said it would not call an OFO forgas day Nov. 9. However it warned that an OFO was still possiblefor gas day Nov. 10.

El Paso extended it unauthorized overpull penalty situationyesterday until further notice. “You are urged to immediatelyreview your supply/demand balance, and the performance of yoursuppliers, to insure sufficient gas is being delivered to El Pasoto cover the gas being taken off the system,” the pipeline toldshippers. To ensure system integrity, El Paso will place limits onscheduled volumes at interconnects that are underperforming. Transwestern is continuing maintenance at the Station 1, Station2 and Station 4, mainline compressor stations located in the Westof Thoreau area. Through Nov. 19, Transwestern’s West of Thoreaucapacity will be reduced from 1.09 Bcf/d to 950,000 MMBtu/d.Between Nov. 20 and Nov. 27, its West of Thoreau capacity will bereduced to 1.04 Bcf/d. Transwestern also will be performingmaintenance at the Bloomfield, Bisti and Gallup Compressor Stationslocated on the San Juan Lateral. On Nov. 15-16, Transwestern’s SanJuan Lateral capacity will be reduced from 850,000 MMBtu/d to550,000 MMBtu/d.

Kern River said during the Nov. 7 inspection of its compressorat the Fillmore Station, the number three engine bearing failed.The Fillmore Compressor is expected to be back up by 2 p.m. onThursday but could last to Nov. 11. Kern will not be able to acceptany AOS or IT nominations for Nov. 11. Meanwhile the inspection ofthe two Muddy Creek compressors is anticipated to be complete onThursday. This means that Kern River may be able to accept anincrease in nominations from firm shippers for supplies behind theMuddy Creek during the intra-day cycle of gas day Nov. 9. Kerncannot operationally handle any drafting on the system duringmaintenance.

Tennessee warned shippers yesterday that the combination offorecasted mild weather and point operator imbalances couldjeopardize the operational integrity of its pipeline system.Tennessee does not have capacity available to absorb imbalancescaused by over deliveries into the system by receipt pointoperators and under takes from the system by delivery pointoperators. It cannot accept unscheduled imbalances and is requiringall customers to nominate and schedule any payback due to or fromTennessee. Tennessee requests all LMS and SA contracts to benominated and scheduled in balance. If the situation gets worse, itmay have to do one of the following: adjust receipts or deliveries;implement daily variance charges; or implement Operational FlowOrders to specific contracts or meters.
